The Only Destiny That Matters: West Papua

West Papua.

An island populated by an indigenous community. Vast mineral wealth, incredible bounty of the Earth on a single piece of land. Beautiful forests, matched with an incredible and ancient eco-system.

Occupied West Papua.

Colonised and battered. This nation is under a brutal occupation, the iron fist of Indonesia grasping and choking the life within.

Self-determination is non-existent. Papuans are not Indonesians, they never wanted to be a part of slavery or to be subjugated. Rightfully so, no community should ever tolerate imperialism or fascism.

Freedom.

West Papua resists Indonesia, every day, for the right to be free from slavery. Freedom from oppression, and to walk their land, swim in their rivers as free people.

Despite the carnage inflicted by the violent conquerors, the people of the land seek a furtherance of their future. They seek to be masters of the present for the inevitable: their destiny, WEST PAPUA.

West Papua: Resistance & Revolution against a brutal colonist

The police chief who is responsible for atrocities in occupied West Papua, Adj. Sr. Comr. Imam Setiawan, said that he would ‘finish’ those who support subversion.

“Whoever supports separatism or subversion activity, I will do the same as yesterday [forcefully dissolve the 3rd Papua People’s Congress]. I’ll finish [them],” he said.

The Cocktail of West Papua

Indonesia’s alleged focus on the welfare of West Papuans is a sweet cocktail of irony, deceit and hypocrisy, served cold.

The Indonesian Government dodges away skillfully from the much-needed Independence of West Papua and the Administration’ s violation of human rights of the indigenous Melanesian-majority population.  The systematic, genocidal attacks on the West Papuans has been on-going for many decades, while the international and regional communities collaborate in sustaining the illusion of Indonesia’s rightful occupation of the land.

There is very little the Melanesian people can do against the onslaught of unlimited Indonesia troops, armed with an orgy of weaponry and training, courtesy of the U.S Government. The U.S is only keen to kowtow to Indonesia, the towering giant of South East Asia, who happens to be the present Chief of ASEAN. While the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) is a ghastly mockery of the mandate it represents.

In the meantime, West Papuans can only continue their resistance, clustered and almost isolation from the globe, trapped and confined by the Indonesia circle of influence.

Is Indonesia truly a democratic country? No. It’s merely an aggressive imperialist shrouded by an illusion. It does not intend to release West Papua, after all, why should they since the international society has chose to support and play along with the rationale that West Papua belongs to Indonesia.

This cocktail of deceit and hypocrisy was made by those that choose to do nothing for justice and freedom of West Papua. This cocktail with a generous spray of irony is shared by the international community which profess in liberty and human rights. Oh yes, you are full of it, especially since you enjoy drinking this cocktail of genocide.

Obama’s Troops in West Papua

The US has declared its support and backing for economical improvements, aid and further exploration of relations. Indonesia is truly fortunate to have the backing of the US. It seems that the US is pleased with Indonesia’s leadership within the region, and in ASEAN. Some say Indonesia may continue with such mandate, in line with the encroachment of China into ASEAN’s ocean and territory. Naturally everyone knows this.

However I am disgusted with the US’ obvious blindness towards Indonesia’s suppression of West Papua. To add salt to the injury, Indonesian troops are somewhat trained and funded by the US, whether via technical training or weaponry.

So who’s responsible for the blatant, horrific human rights violation, and raping of the land, natural resources and identity of West Papuans?

Shall we blame Indonesia’s government? Yes.

Shall we blame the apathy of the region? Yes.

Shall we blame it on Obama’s Indonesian troops? Obviously YES.

Hypocrites when it comes to West Papua [update]

Australia has a strong track record of tolerating Indonesia’s violence against the people of West Papua. Similar to ASEAN, and other hypocrites of “human rights”. Despite the onslaught of the Indonesia Army into West Papua, the regional and international community does nothing concrete to intervene – the fact that Indonesia is still the colonizer of West Papua, and the severe violation of human rights against the Papuans.

Hypocrisy of the South East Asian and Australian society. Their pretense of having a virtuous and moral belief and high standards of human rights,  is utterly disgusting.

West Papua doesn’t need an Indonesian “autonomy package”, what the country and its indigenous people need now is immediate independence from the yoke of tyranny and oppression.

Papuans deserve the right in this world, just like you. To ignore that right is to embrace complete hypocrisy of living.

Indonesia’s Naked Agression Against West Papua

Indonesia continues to carry out a pattern of gross human rights violations in West Papua despite promises to improve the situation.

But how can an imperialist government safeguard the rights and fundamentals of a conquered nation like West Papua? Indonesia needs to immediately withdraw from West Papua, release all claims to what rightfully belongs to Papuans.

Papuans have the right to enjoy their freedom, their lives, their natural resources and their future.

Freedom / Merdeka!
