The hordes of tourists missing from Silom

Silom, even with the floods in Bangkok November 2011, was busy, bustling with random activities. A few nights ago, Silom was almost barren, a handful of wide-eyed tourists wandering about, confused by the sight of the many street vendors and the night club operators.

Silom, its not even my favourite place in Bangkok, and yet I cannot help feel sympathy for the vendors and those who depend on the night life for income.
