My thoughts of returning to Malaysia

Book

The weekend seems dull in comparison to last week. Someone mentioned to me that when you are in Bangkok, you can never be alone. Oh hell, I am alone now. However I do appreciate the feeling of solitude, this craving for not wanting crowds and the constant congestion of Bangkok’s streets. Just for tonight.

My travel for this week has taken me deeper into the city’s back lanes and into the wet markets. Don’t let the picture fool you. I took that above picture sometime ago, and it was not in Bangkok, but in Kuala Lumpur.

Tourism seems to be picking up here, compared to a few weeks ago. More and more tourists flock the city, many come in groups while others are accompanied by the temporary Thai girlfriends. Not that I am judging, merely a reality of life.

I have been able to catch up on my naps, not really expecting the usual 7-hour-sleep. Travelling does this to me. My adrenaline goes on overload, and my mind is alert, constantly. Thinking of making a trip back to Kuala Lumpur though. Some matters need my attention, the same old boring shit bills to check and payments to be made. Unavoidable, I guess. Maybe in a couple of weeks. Maybe.
