Thai food, quite an explosive mix of sweet and sour to the taste buds. But at times, despite the blend of herbs and spices, I find the dishes to be more sweet than hot. Don’t get me wrong, I love chili and I put them on almost every main dish or appetizer – but the sweetness of Thai cooking is usually detectable. Which is fine with me, every time I am in Thailand, I do my best to taste the food, whether from the restaurants or (my favorite) from the street food vendors.
