Nong Kae or Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarakoon She won the gold metals from Weightlifting for Women’s 53kg. This is Thailand’s the first gold medal that everyone is waiting for. According to the Olympics record since Thailand first joined in 1948, Thailand had already had 5 gold, 2 silver, and 10 bronze models. The 2008 Beijing Olympics are almost here! It all kicks off with great fanfare and dazzling style at the official Opening Ceremony on Friday, 8th August 2008. From 7.30pm til 10pm there will be traditional Chinese lion dancing, choral performances by a choir, Chinese musical performances and martial art demonstrations.
