An observer to those living in hardship

Blog

Regardless of the infamous stories of violence and gang-controlled territories, I wandered the streets of Bangkok with little caution; not really caring where I went as long as it was not near the business centre. Based on my work exposure with marginalised communities, I do not fear the slums nor their notorious reputation. I show respect for the people and their way of live, admiring that in desperate times one takes desperate measures to survive.

It is amazing to see the sights, absorbing everything especially meeting people pushed into a miserable existence, courtesy of poverty and a caste system that discriminate those based one’s income and social-status.
