The Forgotten Whim

Blog Living

The price people pay nowadays for democratic reforms is the value of life.

Seems whenever we try to live within the foundations of democracy, we sacrifice our individuality, the need to remain free from ghastly bureaucracy and the ever-rantings of political bullies.

Seems that the value of life diminish when corporations and pressure groups justify the disabling of personal choice and freedom with a bucket of statistics, moralistic ideals and rantings.

So what is democracy? Does it truly supersedes the other ideologies and political approaches of the world? Would democracy offer the layman their basic rights to food, clean water, shelter, healthcare and safety?

Democracy is Life.

Life to be recognised as an individual. Life to be acknowledged the importance of individuality, and exercising the right to be apart of the colossal tyranny of all times: Society.

Society influences the ideologies of our time. Society is also uncertain about what the majority should embark on its quest for perfection, the ultimate generic code to living standards. Society is the gargantuan bully, that smites it’s club against the lone individual who’s inspiration differs from itself.

I say, live your life within your own imperfection, free from the yoke of what others expects of you. Live this life, free from tyranny and hypocrisy. Live it well, start now. Hug yourself, appreciate your identity and take a step forward or backward, based on what you want.

Consort yourself with life. Appreciate the beauty of breathing oxygen into your lungs. Breathe. Now.
