Poverty Without a Home

Blog Human Rights Living

The beautiful night sky provides no comfort for those living without a home. The cold, brutal rain wrecks havoc to those without shelter, pounding against their broken bodies. The pollution, the heavy dark smog, suffocates those with no means to protect themselves. The constant hunger churning the shrunk stomach. The constant thirst plagues the dry throats. The madness of the abundance of food in restaurants drives those with no means to buy nourishment beyond misery.

Desperation.

They possess no means, to embrace their rights to food, clean drinking water, homes, healthcare and safety. Many do not have stable wages, earning far below than what bourgeois would waste in an hour. They worry, constantly, how to defend themselves against society’s relentless stigma, prejudice and discrimination.

Welcome to the realm of the homeless. Welcome to their agony, their helpless desperation to defend themselves against hunger.

Welcome to their Hell, their ‘home’; your casual apathy.
