We have to learn to think in a new way. We have to learn to ask ourselves, not what steps can be taken to give military victory to whatever group we prefer, for there no longer are such steps; the question we have to ask ourselves is: what steps can be taken to prevent a military contest of which the issue must be disastrous to all parties?
— Bertrand Russell
There several things that I can think of off my head right now:
1. Citizens must do a proactive public relation stunt to re-brand a coup as a betrayal to the people, the religions, the nation and the institutions that the people hold dear to.
2. There has to be a continually proactive against any future coup, with or without any coup rumor or potentials.
3. Families that are true admirers of true democracy must teach their children at early age the importance of democracy, and that military coup is an evil enemy of such democracy.
Well said!
